Congregational Care

This ministry’s mission is to demonstrate Christ’s love by visiting with Christ Church members and associate members who are homebound or in skilled care facilities, assisted living facilities, short term physical rehabilitation situations or in the hospital. A friendly and caring visitation team member visits anyone with a family member or acquaintance who fits these criteria with a regular visit.

Primary caregivers also receive a welcome break to run errands or just rest and relax while someone else is visiting with their loved one. You are encouraged to notify the church when someone is in the hospital or scheduled for surgery by contacting the church office.  Sometimes people are unable to come to worship because they are homebound, hospitalized, or recently home from the hospital. Anyone with a heart for this type of ministry and who is able to visit an individual at least once every month is invited to join the team.

Anyone aware of someone who would benefit by visitation should contact Church Secretary, Bev Astroff, at secretary@ccucc.org or call 717-867-1641. Current members of the Visitation Ministry Team include: Marsha Asman, Joan Finger, Dolores Wolfe, Judy Barchet, Jean Rhine, Gloria Wentling, Mary Lott, Mary Johns, and the Pastor.   To be apart of the Visitation Ministry Team which is a subgroup of the Congregational Care Committee, please contact, Mary Lott Mary.Lott2018@gmail.com.

You don¹t need to attend any meetings – you just need to be willing to visit with one or two church members are unable to get to church.
